M6 Tapered Washer Hardware for Bolt-On Flares, Wings & Trim Panels
Every Rolling Gears M6 set stacks four parts: an 18mm (0.71 in) tapered aluminum washer, a countersunk hex-socket M6 x 16mm bolt that drops into the washer's recess, a rubber spacer against the panel, and an M6 stainless rivet nut that gives the panel its own threaded anchor. Pick 24, 32 or 48 sets to match the number of mounting points on your build, in black, silver, red or gold.
Anatomy of One M6 Mounting Point
Countersunk Tapered Seat
The M6 bolt head settles into the recess of an 18mm (0.71 in) washer that is 3.5mm thick, so clamping force spreads across a wider ring of the panel instead of one small point.
Spacer Between Washer and Panel
A rubber spacer goes under every washer, so the aluminum is never clamped straight onto the painted surface of the flare or body panel.
Threaded Rivet Nut Anchor
Set the M6 stainless rivet nut into the panel hole with your own M6 rivet gun, which is not part of this kit, and the panel gains its own M6 thread for the bolt.

Will this kit work with M5 or M8 mounting points? - No. The bolts and rivet nuts are M6 only. For M5 or M8 points, see the M5 and M8 kits in the chart above.
Which kit size should I order? - Count the mounting points on your part. The kit comes in 24, 32 or 48 complete sets, and each set covers one point.
What tools do I need? - You need your own M6 rivet gun to set the rivet nuts; it is not part of this kit. The kit includes one hex L key for tightening the bolts.
What comes in each set? - One 18mm tapered aluminum washer, one M6 x 16mm stainless bolt, one M6 stainless rivet nut and one rubber spacer.
How long are the bolts? - The countersunk M6 bolts have a 16mm threaded length and 20mm overall length, per the package drawing.
Can I use this kit on a motorcycle, ATV or truck? - Yes. The kit is intended for cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs and custom DIY projects with M6 mounting points.
