It does not include shock absorbing properties and thus is not rated for any application in which a fall may occur. The fully extended length of the lanyard must not allow the worker to reach the edge of any fall hazard.
The Guardian Fall Protection "Adjustable Lanyard" is ideal for positioning and restraint situations. This lanyard can be quickly adjusted from 4 to 6 feet in length. This version of the product does not come with a shock absorber.

Non-Shock Absorbing Lanyard
Guardian Fall Protection Non-Shock Absorbing Lanyard is an essential safety equipment designed to safeguard the industrial workers from fatal injuries.
This equipment should be used in combination with the shock absorbing extension. It allows maximum 6 ft. of free-fall for personal fall arrest. It can be stretched from 4 ft. to 6 ft. as per the requirement for maximum user convenience.
Installation and Use
Ensure that all connectors and other components of the PFAS are compatible with this Lanyard, and are selected by a competent person
Make considerations for eliminating or minimizing swing fall hazards
Ensure that the structure to which the anchorage connector is attached is capable of withstanding a minimum load relative to the application
Attach lanyard snap hook or carabiner to compatible harness D-ring
Attach remaining snap hook or carabiner end of the lanyard to compatible anchorage connector
Guardian Lanyards are Suitable for the Following Applications
Personal Fall Arrest
Non-Shock Lanyard may be used to support a maximum 1 PFAS only when used in combination with compatible shock absorber extension.
Structure must withstand loads applied in the directions permitted by the system of at least 5,000 lb.
Maximum free fall is 6ft., or up to 12ft. if used in combination with equipment explicitly intended for such use
Applicable D-ring: Dorsal
Work Positioning
Work positioning systems allow a worker to be supported while in suspension and work freely with both hands.
Structure must withstand loads applied in the directions permitted by the system of at least 3,000 lb.
Maximum allowable free fall is 2ft.
Applicable D-rings: Side
Restraint
Restraint systems prevent workers from reaching the leading edge of a fall hazard.
Structure must withstand loads applied in the directions permitted by the system of at least 1,000 lb.
No free fall is permitted. Restraint systems may only be used on surfaces with slopes up to 4/12 (vertical/horizontal)

Rescue/Confined Space
Rescue systems function to safely recover a worker from a confined location or after exposed to a fall.
No free fall is permitted
